What to do if you're done with, bored with, or overwhelmed by everything!
Take a look at the "Get to Know Pickens" or "Get to Know CCA" binders. Leave me a note in your class period's inbox, letting me know what you learned or what program you might be interested in.
Take a look at any of the books or magazines on the bookshelf.
Look up various colleges online you might be interested in. Schedule a tour if you like!
Look up volunteer opportunities. Here is a great place to start: https://www.auroragov.org/LivingHere/GivingBack/AuroraVolunteerCenter/
Make a web of all of the different networks you have that could help support you in college and find a job in the meantime.
Take a look and experiment on this site: http://www.360financialliteracy.org/
Interview someone in your family, life, or here at school about how they got to where they are in life or professionally. Summarize or show a clip to the class after if you like!
Write a resume for a fictional character from a book you've read: http://www.readwritethink.org/files/resources/interactives/resume/
Grab a quote from the "Bin O' Quotes" on the back table and write what you think about that quote.
Write a note to a friend or staff member here at Futures and give it to them after class.
Write down 7 things you like about yourself. Share them with someone. (I double dare you.)
